Law student – Federal University of Rondônia
I am a Law student at the Federal University of Rondônia – UNIR, I am currently in the 3rd period, and I am a researcher in the group “Ethics and Human Rights UNIR/CNPq”. My interest in the subject began after reading the book “Half of Heaven – Transforming Oppression into Opportunities for Women Around the World”, which portrays true stories of women around the world who suffered from structural machismo and lack of support. of the State and its communities. After the learning provided by this reading, I decided that I wanted to dedicate my professional life to studying and working in the field of Human Rights and International Law. After graduation, I intend to apply for a master’s degree, by Erasmus Mundus, and have access to new academic and cultural knowledge. Recently, I participated in the EMAUS program, a volunteer work teaching Portuguese to Venezuelan children, who immigrated to Rondônia after the political and financial crisis in Venezuela – an unforgettable experience that provided me with contact with another culture. Finally, I aim to work in the group’s research area in international organizations linked to humanitarian aid, or even at the UN.
